Keeping your TV Box up to date is very important for several reasons: for security reasons, since updates include improvements and security fixes; for usability since each update may include improvements to make it easier to use your MyRepublic Android STB, to improve performance and to include new features.

1- First step:
To start checking for software updates, downloading and installing on your MyRepublic Android STB, press the "Start" or "Home" button on the remote control, it is the button with the symbol of a house.
2- Second step:
Using the directional buttons move through the menus on the screen until you reach the settings icon that should appear in the upper right part of the screen of your Android STB.
It is the icon of a gear or cogwheel.
Press to access using the central button on the remote control.
3- Third step:
Once inside the MyRepublic Android STB settings, go down using the buttons on the remote control to go to the "System" section, it should have the icon of a television.

4- Four step:
Within the "System" section of the Android STB, the first tab that will appear is "About", this section has the icon of an exclamation mark surrounded by a circle.

5- Fifth step:
When you have accessed the "About" section of the MyRepublic Android STB you can see all the information related to the TV Box including the version of the operating system and the version of the latest security patch.
To check if you can download a new update, select "System update" and click to access.
6- Sixth step:
The MyRepublic Android STB will search for a newer update, it may take a few seconds to several minutes depending on the speed of your internet connection.
7- Seventh step:
In the event that there is an update available for the MyRepublic Android STB a button will appear to download and install that new update.
Once the update is finished or if none are available, the text "Your system is up to date" will appear.
You can go back and exit the settings of the MyRepublic Android STB.
