How to reset or hard reset an OSN OSNtv Box

If your OSN OSNtv Box player is running very slowly, freezes, or has its internal memory full and you want to erase everything, if you need to return it, send it for repairs, sell it, or give it away and don't want others to have access to your history, apps, and passwords, you can perform a factory reset or format it to restore it to its original state.

IMPORTANT: Resetting or formatting your OSN OSNtv Box to factory settings will erase all the personalized configuration of the device, such as tuned channels and their order, input names, installed applications, passwords for accounts linked to this OSNtv Box, Wi-Fi passwords, Google Play user information, and web browsing history.

The OSN OSNtv Box will need to be fully set up as if it were turned on for the first time after purchase.

1- First step:

First, go to the home menu of your OSN OSNtv Box. Once there, go to settings, which is the gear icon located in the top right corner of the screen on your TV.

2- Second step:

Navigate through the OSNtv Box menu until you find the section called "Storage and reset." Press it to access the storage and factory reset settings.

3- Third step:

Once inside the OSN OSNtv Box Storage and reset settings, look for the "Factory data reset" section with our remote or cursor and click on it.

4- Four step:

A confirmation message will appear on the TV screen connected to the OSN OSNtv Box indicating that all information on the OSNtv Box will be erased, including settings, downloaded apps, and the link to your Google account (the Google account is not deleted, only unlinked from the player). Press "Factory data reset" again. If you've decided not to proceed, press "Cancel," and no data will be deleted.

5- Fifth step:

A second confirmation message will appear to confirm that you want to restore the OSN OSNtv Box, from this step you cannot go back, all apps and settings will be removed from the player.

Press "Erase everything" to finish and wait a few seconds for the OSNtv Box to be completely restored.

Restore OSN OSNtv Box without the remote control

If you don’t have the remote control for the OSN OSNtv Box, the device has entered a reboot loop, or it’s not responding, you can restore the OSN to factory settings using the physical buttons located on the back, bottom, or side of the device.

1- First, locate the power button on the OSN OSNtv Box.
It should be located on the back of the device, on the right side or at the bottom of the OSN player.

2- Next, disconnect the OSN OSNtv Box from the power supply, unplug it or turn off the switch on the power strip where it is connected to cut off electricity.

3- Press and hold the power button on the OSN OSNtv Box, hold it down and connect the OSN device to the electrical outlet.

4- Press and hold the power button without releasing it until you see the OSN logo or the Android TV logo.
When you see the logo, you can release the button.

5- Once in the recovery menu, you can navigate using the physical power button:
Short presses to move between options.
Long press to select an option.
Navigate to the "Wipe data/factory reset" option or similar.
Select this option with a long press of the power button.
Confirm that you want to perform the factory reset with another long press.

5- The OSN OSNtv Box TV Box will restart and it will take a few minutes or seconds to restore to factory settings. Once restored you will have to reconfigure it, choosing the language, internet connection, tuning channels, installing applications or configuring Bluetooth devices.
