What is Direct-LED technology?

Direct-LED is an underutilized display lighting system that does not offer great quality. It is usually used in low-end televisions and therefore cheap.

It consists of a network of led bulbs located at the back of the LCD panel to illuminate the image, offering uniform images but at the cost of lower contrast.
