There are several things you should check:
Use your TV's ARC port: Connect the sound bar to your TV's ARC port using a high-speed HDMI cable. Make sure you use the HDMI port labeled ARC on your TV.
TV Settings: Check the sound settings on your Hitachi TV. Make sure the audio output is set to send sound via ARC. Sometimes it is necessary to manually activate this option in the TV settings menu.
Soundbar settings: Check your Vizio soundbar manual to see if there are specific settings to use with ARC instead of eARC. You may need to change some settings on the sound bar to make it compatible with ARC.
HDMI Cable: Make sure you are using an ARC compatible HDMI cable. A high speed HDMI 2.0 cable should work fine.
Use an optical connection: If all the above fails, you can connect the sound bar to the TV using an optical cable. This connection will also transmit high quality audio and can be a solution if HDMI ARC is not working.
